FAO Effe/Eirik - St Pauli
Me and two of my mates have started to follow St Pauli, will always be Coventry fans first and foremost but we really like what St Pauli stand for, in fact we're even considering going over to Hamburg for a weekend to watch them play next season.
For those of you who don't know much about them here's a good video from the Guardian just last week which gives you a good bit of background.

Remember reading about their beer and hot dog train at the match and the fact they've had to stop getting strippers in the boxes during the games! Just got back from amsterd last week and let's say, enjoyed myself, so might see ya there...

Aren't they just? Its really refreshing to hear about what they stand for. Who's up for a trip to hamburg next season then? They even have their own pole dancers who give out dances when St Pauli score, what a club.

Just watched the vids, quality, definitely be looking out for their results from now. Love that song too. That must be Louis Theroux's brother I assume?
Remember seeing a few articles before, one of them was this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 049232.stm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But this was the one I remembered the most, brilliant, although I don't think it'd work in Liverpool, end up with a turd in your train!

Sky, went to many "interesting" places. Just the usual wandering, saw the "sights" etc. visited the "coffee" shops. Probably the most cultural thing we did was visit the Heineken brewery though, which was quite good to be honest. Lack of naked ladies but plenty of beer.

At the moment St. Pauli and Coventry have a lot in common, as Pauli is also fighting against the relegation. I dunno if Coventry was also the club of the punks and the unemployed.
The most famous song about St.Pauli you can find here:

The song starts at 1.30. Its from 1943, so have fun lol

"On the Reeperbahn in the night/nightly at 0.30" is the meaning of the title. Deffo Hans Albers is thee St.Pauli icon that song is thee melody, every guy living in St. Pauli knows that song, and many Krauts, too.
