We (Sooty, Gavster, Rossi and me) tested online yesterday and I have to say that:

1v1 was class, no lag, no delay, it felt like playing offline.
This was on Xbox360.

1v1 on PS3 is unplayable (according to Sky) at the moment. Massive delay and here and there lag.
I hope this gets sorted as soon as possible but its early days so I`m sure it will settle and PS3 users will have a nice 1v1 mode too.

Now the bad thing...

2v2 is totally ruined
We had plenty of them and the connection was perfect, no doubt but the gameplay is ruined.

Here the reasons:

- The switching is very random and the CPU wont give you the man in attack which you want. 8 times out of 10 you dont get the man where you want to switch too

- the 2v2`s are totally hectic, pure ping pong and lottery most times
We really tried to play nice footy but the response issues make it too hard in 2v2 so that you cant react that quick as you would need to

- auto-tackles are still in and are doing my head in (same in 1v1 btw.)

- the passing is absolutely random most times, no idea why it is that in 2v2, in 1v1 its fine
- through balls in 2v2 are almost pointless, 8 out of 10 die on their way to the receiver or go to complete wrong direction as you wanted them

Overall I`m in a mixed limbo.

1v1 is class and PES is deffo back there but 2v2 is absolutely ruined and this is very very sad

Mouse - I'd be ineterested in hearing what you think of the Ps3 version online. I had quite a few games yesterday and overall I'm disappointed. I'm struggling to put any sort of passing moves together whatsover, all of my games have just been a midfield scramble and left me really frustrated. I don't know if there's something wrong with my connection perhaps so would be interested to hear how it plays for you. Cheers.

When will bloody Konami learn?

Just had a packet sniffer on playing my last game, and analysed just now. It seems every 10 second's it send's info to the server. IN JAPAN...

I can't wait to see when the server's are busy how this will hold up :/

Unbelievable really. I'm sure it would run a lot smoother in Europe and as this is seen as a make or break game for them you would think they would have moved the servers.

I still haven't sorted out my Konami ID to test it. I should be online later though.

Sounds as if there might be a wider problem with the ps3 version then rather than it being my connection, they have to get this sorted out asap:

Mouse; of course it has to send info to the servers in Japan, so it can let everyone else know in the lobbys what the score is! This won't cause lag; if it waited on info back from Japan, THAT would cause potential lag.

Can't you make it manual switching in the options?

You have 3 options:

Auto - utterly gay, cpu switches full auto and full gay

Semi-Auto (what I use): normally best thing but not anymore. Cpu still switches to wrong man or dont let you switch sometimes to the man u want

Manual: You have full control yes, but you have to press L1 after EVERY pass.
If you have the ball, pass it to a teammate and you dont press L1 after receiving the ball then the CPU controls your man until you press L1 to get in control of him.

You can imagine with about 100 passes per game its a pain in the ass to press L1 after every pass...

Why have they changed how Manual works??? Before if you passed it to a man, that man changed to your control?? Are there levels of Semi-Auto like before? Even with the lowest setting it's screwed?
